Events & Engagement Volunteer Role

Building a Safer, More Compassionate Community for Pets & People

At Wenatchee Valley Humane Society, we believe pets are family—and that families should stay together. We're dedicated to keeping pets and their people connected, supported, and thriving. One of the ways we do that is by showing up in our community: at events, in neighborhoods, and wherever we're needed most.

We're excited to introduce a volunteer role that brings our mission to life through hands-on involvement at events and outreach opportunities. If you’re someone who loves people as much as you love animals, this might be the perfect fit for you.

As an Events & Engagement Volunteer, you’ll help create meaningful connections between WVHS and the community. Whether you're helping with setup or teardown, chatting with attendees at an outreach booth, handing out resources at our monthly pet pantry, or walking an adoptable dog at a festival—your presence makes a difference.

You might find yourself:

Setting up tables, signage, and materials at local events.

Representing WVHS at booths—sharing info, answering questions, and spreading awareness.

Walking and handling adoptable dogs to help them shine and find their future families.

Supporting our monthly Pet Food Pantry, helping distribute supplies to families in need.

Every event is different, and every shift is a new opportunity to connect with others, support our mission, and celebrate the bond between pets and people.

If you’re passionate about animal welfare, enjoy engaging with the public, and want to be a visible part of the heart of WVHS—we’d love to welcome you to this role.

Together, we’re not just showing up—we’re building a more compassionate community.
