Help animals transition safely back to their kennels after receiving medical care! As a Post-Clinic Tail Transit Volunteer, you will play a key role in ensuring a smooth and stress-free return for our shelter pets. Responsibilities include:
- Walking adult dogs back to their kennels
- Safely carrying puppies (under 6 months) to their kennels
- Transporting cats in carriers back to their kennels
- Assisting community cat caretakers by helping them transport live traps with cats to their vehicles
- Helping reunite dogs with their owners by safely removing them from kennels and handing them off
- Reviewing post-op medication instructions with pet owners when needed
This role requires frequent walking, standing, and the ability to lift 35+ lbs. If you’re detail-oriented, comfortable handling animals, and eager to assist in their post-care process, we’d love to have you on our team!
Volunteers are encouraged to bring lunch and water and take breaks as needed. A fridge is available for storing food and drinks—your well-being is important to us!
