Help ensure the safe and comfortable recovery of cats after surgery! As a Surgical Suite Recovery Volunteer, you will assist with post-operative care and monitoring. Responsibilities include:
- Transporting cats from the surgical suite to their recovery kennels
- Monitoring cats as they wake from sedation and reporting concerns to the LVT or DVM
- Trimming nails, administering vaccines, and implanting microchips
- Preparing and offering post-op snacks to patients
- Assembling and fitting e-collars (cones) as needed
This role involves frequent standing and walking. If you have a passion for feline care and attention to detail, we’d love to have you on our team!
Volunteers are encouraged to bring lunch and water and take breaks as needed. A fridge is available for storing food and drinks—your well-being is important to us!
